First reaction: George Clooney is so dreamy (does the man age)??

Second reaction: I loved the movie! Everyone says it’s depressing, and it definitely was…but it was still a great movie. And I don’t know, maybe it’s because I try and be a glass is half full kinda gal…but for me, when I see depressing movies, I just think about how thankful I am for what I have.

Bottom line: Go See it!!! (though, it’s recommended by many not to be seen alone)

Saw Nine last night. I’m a sucker for musicals, but this one didn’t really do it for me. I felt like I was kind of watching a soft core porn and a musical. I didn’t mind looking at Daniel Day Lewis…and I have nothing against watching Fergie, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz and some other fine ladies dancing around…but I just didn’t get it.

Oh well. I’m going to see Up in The Air tonight, and I haven’t heard one bad thing about that.

Just got home from seeing James Cameron’s “Avatar.”

At first I was a little “meh” about seeing it…it is a boy movie after all. BUT, we went to see it in IMAX 3D (which makes eveything AMAZING), and the story line was pretty good too.

But let me tell you…James Cameron loves those long movies. 2 hours and 45 minutes…geesh.

Good thing it’s an all-day movie-day!!!

The blogs and newsites like The Glove and Mail UK are reporting a nationwide Blackberry outage. While I have a Blackberry and haven’t experienced a phone or text message outage, I have had an email update delay of several hours to this point in time.

This has to be related to several developments: 1) the large use of Blackberry service during this Christmas week, 2) Research In Motion’s obvious capacity-handling problems, and 3) a lack of planning to deal with this problem which has reportedly happened twice in December, the last time being the 17th of the month. (NOTE: I remember when this happened, it was right after my trip to San Fran and I thought that I had messed up my phone. I’m happy to find out five days later that it was RIM that was messed up).

NBC Los Angeles reports that RIM has explained they’re aware of the outage and are working to fix it, but did not give a timetable. The front page of the Blackberry website has no message about the problem.

I personally noticed a lot of dropped calls this afternoon while I was connecting flights at a crowded Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Another possible reason for this is the number of people using their Blackberry phones while traveling in this terrible winter weather blanketing the East Coast and causing air travel delays.

Had a great time in California this time. Spent most of the visit in Napa, but actually got to explore Union Square San Fran a little and went to my FIRST NFL game: 49ers vs Cards. The 49ers kicked butt, and I won a lot of money. Scott had gotten us amazing box seats (through someone from work) and I am now officially spoiled. Free food, drink, HEAT, and an amazing view. I don’t know that I can ever watch a NFL game from the stands now.

The rest of our time together was spent doing some shopping, eating some yummy/unhealthy food (we both have holiday bellies now), and best of all just curled up on the couch watching episode after episode of How I Met Your Mother.

Every time I see him I fall more and more in love, and it’s harder to say goodbye.

Tonight I realized that if/when we end up in the same place it will never be as good as this. Right now we live in a fantasy world (granted it only happens for 3 days every two months) but during that 72 hour period, life is wonderful, everything is easy and we both have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD. There’s no job taking up our time, there are no bills that have to be paid, and best of all there is no time for fighting. While I’m excited for the future…I’m also a little scared for the “getting used to” that it will take.

I guess the good news is that as of right now, we have no idea/plans for the future or any clue as to when this “honeymoon” will end.

NOTE: The waffle maker in the background has nothing to do with making latkes. It ended up in the shot because it was a new Christmas gift from Mama Westerman that we had tried out earlier that day (PS: Chocolate Waffles=Heaven)
